Japanese yarn dyed / “Shibori Pattern” 2500
Yarn dyed fabrics have thread dyed before being woven into fabric. This makes it possible to express delicate patterns with depth by changing the combination of warp and weft threads. Such as their colour, thickness, number, and arrangement. In addition. Because the thread is dyed before weaving, the fabric has good quality with less fading and high colour fastness.
This “shibori pattern” 2500 design has two-color round pattern which is mimic traditional pattern of Shibori dyeing ( a type of resist indigo dyeing). It is designed to blend in with the fabric, giving it a beautiful subtle effect.
This fabric is woven in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture, an ancient textile city. Mitsuke City has developed as an industrial centre since the Edo period. This is a rare fabric that is still made with skilled craftsmanship.
